More about this artwork

The painting depicts a mysterious and atmospheric landscape dominated by a large, rustic archway standing amid turbulent waters. Painted in shades of blue and green with accents of yellow and white, the scene exudes a dreamlike quality. The arch, possibly symbolizing a gateway or portal, is weathered and partially covered in patterns resembling stains or moss, suggesting age and exposure to the elements. In the foreground, a small, solitary boat floats on the choppy water, adding a sense of loneliness or exploration. The background features abstract, vertical structures resembling buildings or cliffs, shrouded in a mist that blends with the sky. Above the archway, a circular form, perhaps a distant moon or sun, emits a soft light, infusing the scene with an ethereal glow. The overall mood is one of mystery and otherworldliness, inviting viewers to ponder the symbolism and narrative behind this enigmatic composition.

Artist

I was born in Panevėžys district, in the village of Stultiškės.  Since 1974 I have been actively participating in group exhibitions and organizing personal exhibitions. Since my early work, I have been interested in extraterrestrial worlds and visions. The aim of my work is to free the viewer's imagination and immerse him/her in unseen spaces, to involve the viewer in the world of my imaginary vision.

My work is inspired by self-analysis, by the human relationship to the world and to oneself. I rely solely on my own imagination, experiences and personal philosophy of life. My paintings are visual narratives, interwoven with mysterious stories, fairy tales, myths.  The canvases are dominated by a palette of warm colours, peace and harmony.

In 2005 she was awarded the status of Artist.
