More about this artwork

In this painting, we observe an intriguing blend of vibrant and muted hues coalescing in a fluid, dreamlike composition. At the center, there's a swirling motif dominated by shades of orange and browns, embedded within a creamy white halo that fades outwards into blues and greens. This central swirl could be interpreted as a portal or a vortex, drawing the viewer's eye into its depth. Around it, splashes and strokes of blue, green, and aqua suggest a turbulent, ocean-like environment that might symbolize the search for tranquility the title refers to. The texture is rich, with thick applications of paint that add a tactile dimension to the visual experience, creating a dynamic interplay between colors and forms. The outer edges of the composition, particularly the top left corner, transition into darker, deeper shades of blue and green, enhancing the feeling of looking into an abyss or deep water, reinforcing themes of depth and introspection.

Artist

I was born in Panevėžys district, in the village of Stultiškės.  Since 1974 I have been actively participating in group exhibitions and organizing personal exhibitions. Since my early work, I have been interested in extraterrestrial worlds and visions. The aim of my work is to free the viewer's imagination and immerse him/her in unseen spaces, to involve the viewer in the world of my imaginary vision.

My work is inspired by self-analysis, by the human relationship to the world and to oneself. I rely solely on my own imagination, experiences and personal philosophy of life. My paintings are visual narratives, interwoven with mysterious stories, fairy tales, myths.  The canvases are dominated by a palette of warm colours, peace and harmony.

In 2005 she was awarded the status of Artist.
