More about this artwork

The painting is dominated by varied shades of blue, creating a tranquil and somewhat mysterious atmosphere. It features an abstract landscape, possibly depicting a serene body of water at the base, reflected by what could be interpreted as either mountains or distant silhouettes in the upper half. The texture is rich and tactile, suggesting the use of thick paint or a palette knife technique, adding depth and a sense of dynamic motion within the stillness. The central portion of the work displays lighter blue tones and more defined lines, drawing the eye across the canvas in smooth, sweeping motions. Striking, yet subtle white lines and highlights add contrast, suggesting light reflections on water or ice, enhancing the overall ethereal quality of the scene.

Artist

I was born in Panevėžys district, in the village of Stultiškės.  Since 1974 I have been actively participating in group exhibitions and organizing personal exhibitions. Since my early work, I have been interested in extraterrestrial worlds and visions. The aim of my work is to free the viewer's imagination and immerse him/her in unseen spaces, to involve the viewer in the world of my imaginary vision.

My work is inspired by self-analysis, by the human relationship to the world and to oneself. I rely solely on my own imagination, experiences and personal philosophy of life. My paintings are visual narratives, interwoven with mysterious stories, fairy tales, myths.  The canvases are dominated by a palette of warm colours, peace and harmony.

In 2005 she was awarded the status of Artist.
