More about this artwork

In the painting "Blue-Orange" by Irma Pažimeckienė, we observe an extravagantly vivid still life composition set against a softly blurred, dark background. Central to the piece is a large, elegant vase overflowing with bright orange blossoms, interspersed with delicate white baby's breath and lush green leaves that droop gracefully over the vase. The flowers provide a rich explosion of colors, standing out against the darker tones of the setting. Below, a draped tablecloth with intricate lace details softens the scene, adding a touch of refinement.

To the left of the vase, there is a footed bowl filled with peaches and clusters of green grapes, exuding a sense of abundance. Closer to the foreground, a peach, cut open to reveal its stone, rests near an array of whole fruits and more grapes, adding depth and variety to the color palette. On the right, an elegant, tall glass holds a red beverage, possibly wine, echoing the rich colors of the fruits and enhancing the opulent feel of the tableau. Additional scattered fruits around the cloth further capture the painting’s lush, serene, yet vibrant ambiance.

The play of light and shadow in the painting highlights textures and enhances the three-dimensional effect, drawing the viewer's eye to the natural beauty and bountifulness of the composition.

Creativity is an integral part of my life, my greatest hobby, my greatest passion. I graduated from Panevezys Art School and also worked as a florist, maybe therefore I can't imagine my life without the beauty of flowers and nature all around. So the motif of flowers in my works stops the moment and their beauty and becomes eternal.

I am a child of nature, so my greatest desire is to convey the charm of its moments, to tame it and stop the time. I want people to find peace, pleasure and feel good emotions in my work.

A flower as a person: sprouts, blossoms, develops and dies. Life cycle movement allows you to look at the environment more closely, and that's what I am trying to move to. The beauty of life is my greatest inspiration.

I am a fan of realistic impressionism becoming an oil painter. I regularly organize exhibitions all over Lithuania. From 2020 I am a member of the Folk Artists' Union.
