About the author
Irma Pažimeckienė is a committed Lithuanian artist whose life is driven by her creativity. After graduating from Panevezys Art School, her path in art has been profoundly shaped by her work as a florist. This strong bond with flowers and the natural world repeatedly emerges in her creations, as she endeavors to preserve and convey the evanescent beauty of blossoms and nature that surrounds her.
Irma draws much of her inspiration directly from the natural world, seeing herself as inherently connected to it. Her goal is to reflect the enchanting moments she observes in nature, capturing their spirit and fixing them onto canvas. She hopes her paintings offer viewers a sense of calm, happiness, and positivity, inviting them to experience the serenity that continually inspires her.
She frequently compares the journey of a flower to that of a human being: beginning with sprouting, moving through blooming and change, and finally withering away. This continuous cycle of growth and transformation echoes the natural rhythms of life and stands at the heart of her artwork. In focusing on these cycles, Irma Pažimeckienė encourages a greater appreciation for our surroundings, motivating others to observe the world around them more thoughtfully.
Describing her style as realistic impressionism, Irma primarily works with oil paints. She consistently organizes exhibitions across Lithuania, presenting her artistic vision and perspective to a wider audience. Since 2020, she has been an active member of the Folk Artists' Union, further strengthening her role within Lithuania’s artistic community.
