More about this artwork

The painting displays an abstract, textured scene dominated by vibrant colors. A small, white cupboard stands alone on the bottom left side, contrasting starkly against a backdrop of deep blues, fiery oranges, and flashes of white and yellow. These colors seem to swirl around the scene, suggesting a dynamic, almost turbulent atmosphere. The brushstrokes are bold and heavy, imparting a sense of movement and chaos, as though the cupboard is caught in a tempest of color and light. The cupboard itself appears quaint and solitary, evoking a sense of mystery about what it might contain within its simple, unassuming structure.

Artist

Vakarė Armonaitė (b. 2002) is a representative of the new generation of Lithuanian graphic artists and painters, now studying toward a Bachelor's degree in Graphic art In Vilnius Academy of Arts.

Vakarė has been actively improving her skills in the art field since the year 2018. After she had graduated from Kaunas Antanas Martinaitis art school, she joined a special creative group of postgraduates in order to learn more. Later she continued to shape her artistic expression individually and in private studios with artists Rimantas Aitmanas and Lukas Eugenijus Kolmogorcevas (2019).

From the year 2020 Vakarė has engaged in creative painting and drawing studios led by Vilnius Academy of Arts, and from the year 2021 she is a student of VAA Graphic Art Bachelor's program. Since then she has been creating her own projects and presenting them in personal exhibitions in open spaces.

Vakarė's creative style could be described as free and bright-colored. Her depicted objects are often more abstract than real, which engages with the viewer. Her art not only helps to connect with an observer, it also becomes a way of presenting herself to the public.
