More about this artwork

The painting presents a vivid and complex array of forms and colors, giving off a distinctly surreal quality. Dominant in the canvas is a myriad of intertwining shapes and hues, hinting at both organic and abstract elements. The top of the piece features a blend of green and blue, possibly evoking the sky or a natural canopy, leading into segments filled with bright red and deep blue, which give the impression of emotional depth and intensity.Central to the artwork is a face-like form that appears to fragment into various pieces. It includes a dark eye circled by a ring of white and outlined in bright yellow, adding a piercing quality to this otherwise mystifying ensemble. The mouth is depicted in a bright red hue, stretched wide as if in mid-expression. Surrounding this are other organic and abstract motifs: swirls, orbs, and undulating lines of white, yellow, green, and blue, which could be interpreted as floral or celestial.Near the bottom, a burst of bright yellow suggests a radiant light or a star, contrasting sharply with the darker tones that fill much of the space. Adjacent to this is a cluster of shapes in lighter blue and green shades, their precise nature ambiguous, rounding out a scene that feels both chaotic and harmonically balanced. The painting breathes a life of its own, driven by emotion and perhaps the hopefulness hinted at in its title.

Vakarė Armonaitė (b. 2002) is a representative of the new generation of Lithuanian graphic artists and painters, now studying toward a Bachelor's degree in Graphic art In Vilnius Academy of Arts.

Vakarė has been actively improving her skills in the art field since the year 2018. After she had graduated from Kaunas Antanas Martinaitis art school, she joined a special creative group of postgraduates in order to learn more. Later she continued to shape her artistic expression individually and in private studios with artists Rimantas Aitmanas and Lukas Eugenijus Kolmogorcevas (2019).

From the year 2020 Vakarė has engaged in creative painting and drawing studios led by Vilnius Academy of Arts, and from the year 2021 she is a student of VAA Graphic Art Bachelor's program. Since then she has been creating her own projects and presenting them in personal exhibitions in open spaces.

Vakarė's creative style could be described as free and bright-colored. Her depicted objects are often more abstract than real, which engages with the viewer. Her art not only helps to connect with an observer, it also becomes a way of presenting herself to the public.
