More about this artwork

In the painting, there is an ethereal and somewhat abstract composition dominated by soft, muted colors. On the left, a large, roughly cylindrical shape floats; it is wrapped in delicate red threads that extend across the canvas. These threads connect to a cluster of irregular, bluish-white forms on the right, which appear soft and fluid, almost like melting wax or floating icebergs. The interplay of these threads and forms creates a sense of connection and tension, suggesting an invisible, yet palpable bond between the two main elements. The background is a smooth gradient of pale gray, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the scene. The overall mood is serene yet mysterious, inviting contemplation about the relationships and connections depicted.

Vakarė Armonaitė (b. 2002) is a representative of the new generation of Lithuanian graphic artists and painters, now studying toward a Bachelor's degree in Graphic art In Vilnius Academy of Arts.

Vakarė has been actively improving her skills in the art field since the year 2018. After she had graduated from Kaunas Antanas Martinaitis art school, she joined a special creative group of postgraduates in order to learn more. Later she continued to shape her artistic expression individually and in private studios with artists Rimantas Aitmanas and Lukas Eugenijus Kolmogorcevas (2019).

From the year 2020 Vakarė has engaged in creative painting and drawing studios led by Vilnius Academy of Arts, and from the year 2021 she is a student of VAA Graphic Art Bachelor's program. Since then she has been creating her own projects and presenting them in personal exhibitions in open spaces.

Vakarė's creative style could be described as free and bright-colored. Her depicted objects are often more abstract than real, which engages with the viewer. Her art not only helps to connect with an observer, it also becomes a way of presenting herself to the public.
