More about this artwork

The painting depicts an intricate botanical scene, primarily rendered in black and white tones. Centered in the composition are two large, circular elements that resemble densely coiled floral bouquets, or perhaps nests comprised of numerous small, detailed leaves and petals. Between these two forms lies the faint image of a woman's face, with her features serenely set against the background of twisted floral elements.Surrounding these central motifs are various types of flora that vary in shape and size, contributing to a sense of natural abundance and diversity. Delicate vines with smaller leaves and filigree-like embellishments extend outwards, suggesting organic growth. Each element is detailed, showing the textural differences between the types of plants. The overall effect is of a lush and mysterious garden, with the woman's face adding a human and perhaps mythical quality to the scene. This face might symbolize nature’s spirit or a guardian of this rich natural world, suggesting themes of femininity and connectivity to nature.

Artist

Jūratė Sližytė (Slyžė)

„Creativity is a constant observation of the world, the transformation of accumulated sensations through one's personal prism into concrete material. During the work process, the thought, the vision becomes a specific object or work, which becomes the connection between the creator and the viewer.

To create art means to study diligently, to improve, to search for new forms of expression throughout one's life, to try to achieve one's "Truth" and to never stop. That "Truth" is usually very simple, but the road to it is long and often winding.”

Jūratė works with various graphic techniques, water-colours, acrylic, creates various objects, also from recycled materials. Every artist has their own philosophy when creating their works.
