More about this artwork

In the painting, a quiet, misty street scene unfolds under a subtle, diffuse light. A vintage street lamp stands prominently in the foreground on the left, casting no light but serving as a silent witness to the tranquil setting. The road curves gently to the right, bordered by a glistening wet surface that reflects the soft muted tones of the sky. A series of old buildings, each with distinct but subdued architectural details, line the street. The centerpiece is a two-story yellow house with green shutters, showing signs of age and character. Its warm hue contrasts softly against the cooler whites and grays of the neighboring buildings, suggesting a depth to the mist that shrouds the scene. The background fades into a blend of fog and sky, giving a sense of infinite continuation on this quiet street corner. The painting evokes a serene, almost nostalgic atmosphere, inviting the viewer to contemplate the stillness and beauty of the foggy moment captured.

Flowers, trees, the sea - I'm fascinated by their serenity, majesty, perfection and simplicity all at once. It's a contrast to the city, to technology, to the never-ending flow of information. I take a lot of photographs and watercolours, because I can't resist from capturing the what catches my eye - that's how my sketches are born, that's how I prepare for painting. I try to convey this beauty in my canvases, the combinations of colours, the horizons, and I invite the viewer into the landscape, to experience the warmth of melting snow, the calmness of an evening by the seaside, the giddiness of the spring bloom.
