More about this artwork

The painting depicts a lush forest scene, vibrant with various shades of green and touches of yellow and white, highlighting the dense foliage and the play of light through the trees. Tall tree trunks, some slender and others more robust, rise vertically, their bark rendered in strokes of white, grey, and brown, suggesting a bark texture that feels both rough and smooth in places. A narrow, meandering path, visible in hues of muted pink and brown, invites the viewer to journey deeper into the woodland. The underbrush is thick with leaves and shrubs, painted with swift, dynamic brushstrokes that give a sense of wild, natural growth. The canopy overhead is hinted at by clusters of green leaves at the top of the canvas, filtering what looks to be early morning or late afternoon light, casting a tranquil ambiance over the scene. This representation of the forest captures its serene yet wild essence, inviting a moment of contemplation or a walk in the quiet solitude of nature.

Flowers, trees, the sea - I'm fascinated by their serenity, majesty, perfection and simplicity all at once. It's a contrast to the city, to technology, to the never-ending flow of information. I take a lot of photographs and watercolours, because I can't resist from capturing the what catches my eye - that's how my sketches are born, that's how I prepare for painting. I try to convey this beauty in my canvases, the combinations of colours, the horizons, and I invite the viewer into the landscape, to experience the warmth of melting snow, the calmness of an evening by the seaside, the giddiness of the spring bloom.

I am from Klaipėda, but I have been living and working in Vilnius for many years. I studied painting with the artist Antanas Beinaravičius, later with the artist Vytautas Poška, and I also studied at the Vilnius J. Vienožinskis Art School.

I participate in group exhibitions - in 2015 in the exhibition of four female artists "Pasimatymas" at the Juozas Art Gallery, in the exhibition for the M. Bičiūnienė Prize at the National Museum of Lithuania (the exhibited work was acquired by the museum), in the exhibitions of folk art "Aukso vainikas" ("Golden Wreath") (in the Vilnius region, 2015, 2016, 2017), in the Vilnius region, in the Vilnius region, and in the Vilnius region. ), the international plein-air exhibition "Three Sides of Reflection" at Trakai Vokė Manor, the Arka Gallery exhibition "Artchyvas", "Art without a Roof" (2020 and 2022), etc. Personal exhibitions were held in 2015 at Juozas Art Gallery, 2016-2017 at the Crisis Overcoming Centre, exhibition "Unplanned, Unexpected", 2018 at the premises of UAB Business Service Centre. I have also completed several murals and frescoes in private interiors.
