More about this artwork

The painting presents a fragmented view laid out across several disjointed, rectangular panels, each varying in size and orientation, floating against a plain background. The artwork conveys a mood of ambiguity through its abstract approach, where textured strokes and blended colors dominate. Bottom panels show interplays of deep oranges and blacks suggesting fiery illumination hidden behind dark, dense elements, possibly foliage or branches. It hints at an unseen radiance, potentially symbolic of enlightenment or forbidden knowledge, as referenced by the title. The top and middle sections adopt cooler tones, with grays and blues melding into each other, possibly depicting the sky or a reflective surface, contributing to a sense of depth and mystery. The scattered arrangement of the panels and the obscured forms challenge the viewer to piece together the painting’s narrative and symbolism, reflecting on the tree of knowledge and its implications.

Artist statement

The path is tempting. The path leads. The path misleads. The path grows...

And above all, it does not let you stop.

There are many ways to travel: physically, virtually, imaginatively...

The path is always a perspective. A glance into the distance, and a glance back. From the perspective of the road. That's why it looks more beautiful there than here. It is not necessary to go into details, it is better to summarise, to look at everything through a mist of soft idealism. Because it is more beautiful. Because it hurts less.

The path can be called an escape from reality. Or a rise above the daily life.

Or maybe the true PATH is actually being in the HERE and NOW? Simply – BEING in motion.
