More about this artwork

This energetic, abstract landscape painting vibrates with an array of vivid, thickly applied colors. The upper half displays cooler tones with shades of blue dominating, interspersed with streaks of white and grey that add depth and a sense of aerial perspective. It suggests an expansive sky or distant mountains reflecting light. In contrast, the foreground bursts with warmer greens, yellows, and hints of orange, implying lush, rolling fields or garden spaces in bloom. The painting sports dynamic brushstrokes, contributing to a sense of movement and wild natural growth. On the right side, there are recognizable structural forms, possibly buildings or industrial elements, etched in darker, more muted tones, integrating human presence into the natural setting. These forms seem to be reflected in the water body at the center, marked by splashes of bright blue and white, hinting at the ripple of waves. Splashes of bright red and orange across the scene add a dramatic flair, drawing the viewer's eye and possibly indicating flowers or the sun's reflection at twilight. Overall, the painting portrays an abstract representation of a landscape, melding nature’s spontaneity with human-made elements in a vibrant, quasi-impressionistic style.

"In my paintings, I try to use artistic means to reveal the relationship between the environment, nature and human beings; I explore the feeling of fresh air and what it means to me. I also explore the importance of nature for man and the interconnection between them. In my paintings, I draw on natural motifs from reduced reality, photographs, the internet, video and other materials. In my paintings I explore the relationship between nature and man, the spaces and intersections between them. The distance of man from nature is shown through the fragmented space of the painting and the figure within it. As a counterbalance to the dramatically fragmented space, the other paintings convey a more solid, calmer space, and I use the pastosic brushstroke and thin layer painting, and the technique of rubbing in paint, which in my works becomes like a refreshment for the soul, like fresh air."
