More about this artwork

The painting captures an evocative scene of an evening on Laisvės avenue. It depicts a bustling street lined on one side with lush, green trees beginning to show hints of autumnal yellow. On the other side, there are hints of urban architecture, buildings in shades of blue and gray that stretch toward the background. The avenue is lively, filled with people strolling; men and women in various outfits suggesting a contemporary setting. At the end of the avenue, an impressive, domed structure looms, illuminated against the dusky sky, casting an imposing yet serene presence over the scene. The ground reflects patches of light and shadow, adding depth and a sense of realism to the ambiance of a city transitioning from day to night. The brushstrokes are loose, vibrant, and dynamic, contributing to a feeling of movement and life within the frame.
