More about this artwork

The painting presents an abstract and vividly colorful image. Dominated by shades of pink and scattered elements of yellow, green, and blue, it portrays a partial face obscured and intersected by geometric shapes and drips of paint. A single, detailed eye gazes out, drawing focus amidst the chaos. This eye, realistic and expressive, contrasts with the abstract forms and splatters. Blocks of bold yellow intersect with organic shapes and splatters in the background, including a large, green-ish feature that suggests a sweeping motion, like the stroke of a brush or a gust of wind. The lower section of the work features droplets and patterns that could be seen as either falling or rising, adding a dynamic quality to the piece. Paint drips downwards across the composition, disrupting the formality of the geometric shapes and adding a sense of movement and spontaneity.

Artist

I'm a fashion designer. I am interested in fashion, art, style, photography, science. My free time is dedicated to creative activities. Painting is a big part of my life, it is my hobby - I grew up painting. I owe my ability to paint to my painting teacher, Gvidas Latakas, who gave me the opportunity to look at painting and art in a different way - as a way of relaxation, calming down. I will never forget Gvid's painting lectures, when we used to read Greek myths while painting, and as a result, our imaginations would run wild.

My work doesn't settle on one style/drawing because I don't want to yet, I like to experiment with techniques and styles. However, I do feel that I am leaning towards one style that will reveal itself in my work over time. Most of my paintings and works are born spontaneously. I am caught up in my emotions and cannot stop painting until I have finished the painting. I am not afraid of bold brush strokes, lurking paints, spattering of primer on the canvas and contrast, but at the same time I like soft strokes.

I have had solo exhibitions at the telecommunications company TELIA, Kaunas University of Technology and Kaunas College.

Some of my work is abroad (Iceland, America, England).
My inspirations are ES DEVLIN, Jackson Pollock, Helmut Newton, Sevda Alizadeh (Sevdaliza), Nick Murphy (Chet Faker), Demna Gvasalia, Virgil Abloh.
