Rimas Bružas is a journalist, filmmaker and motorcyclist.
He never says he draws or paints, according to him - he just plays with colours.
His work is characterised by a poster-like quality - expressing himself through clear, structured forms based on the principle of contrast. This simplicity and clarity is very important to Bruz.
The author does not put techniques and colours into a painting, but rather he fills it with his own experiences and feelings.
This is the most perceptible part of the painting.
It is really hard to see whether the artist is a professional or not when looking at a journalist's drawings. However, Bružas emphasises that he has not studied the craft, but has simply developed his gaze over many years of professional activity.
"This is visual art, so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it. I think most people who work with visuals have skills in one way or another. It's the same genre," he says.
"Everything comes with experience, with practice. You see that you can do it one way, you can do it another way, then you try a simpler thing or you try to take on a challenge. This is the principle of mistakes, you push yourself, you paddle forward," he shares his experience.
