More about this artwork

This painting by Arvydas Pučka, titled "Variety in Monotony," presents a striking vertical composition. The work is encased in a wooden frame that appears richly textured and polished, enhancing the elegant simplicity of the piece. The central portion of the canvas is filled with a vertical gradient of colors transitioning from a muted yellow at the top to darker greens and then to vibrant orange and specks of red at the bottom. This central area is textured, suggesting the presence of heavy, impasto brushstrokes that catch the light and create a dynamic interplay of shadow and brightness. This visual texture suggests depth and movement, creating an intriguing contrast with the painting's overall minimalistic approach. The color palette, while simple, conveys a lush and organic feel, evoking the natural world.

Artist

I live in Vilnius, but most of my time I spent in the nature - Labanoras forest. I could say that Labanoras became my second home as well as the source of inspiration. Usually, inspiration and artistry is born by accident. I started to show interest in art since I was very young, so I can admit that creativity is everywhere and belongs to everyone. I mostly combine oil paint with surfaces such as linen canvas, wood or cardboard. I would say that my paintings are extraordinary because usually they provide old, ancient look and exclusive handcrafted frames. I think that the exclusiveness of frames is equivalent element to painting itself. It definitely doubles the opportunities of paintings design.

Painting gives me a lot of positive emotions and lets me to feel the real fulfilment.I always try to share the energy of my works with the world. That’swhy many painting of mine found their new owners in Poland, Germany, Israel, USA, Russia, etc.
