More about this artwork

The painting features an abstract and textured background filled with a blend of blues, whites, and specks of purple, suggesting a tumultuous, perhaps celestial scene. On the right side, a prominent green chair with a regal high back, topped with a golden crown motif, suggests a sense of authority or importance. Directly in front of the chair, centered and resting on a rich, textured crimson cloth, is a chalice with intricate engravings. The chalice catches the eye as the likely focal point or "Grail". To the left of the scene, against the chaotic backdrop, transparent bubbles float serenely, adding a layer of mysticism or surrealism to the scene. Each element, from the royal chair to the sacred cup, and the floating bubbles, plays a part in invoking a sense of reverence and wonder.

Artist

I graduated in ceramics at the Art Institute. However, I have been searching for a long time for the type of art that is closest to my soul. When the path of life led me to the study of Eastern philosophy, I rediscovered Eastern art, the aesthetics of which I had admired since my school days.

For art that has existed for several thousand years, one of the most important principles is the spiritual element. The treatment of the colours and shapes of nature gives harmony and a positive element to the work. The objects depicted appear simple and mundane, while at the same time they reveal the uniqueness of natural phenomena.

I often use short poetic trills - haiku. These are like poetic still frames, capturing the importance of the moment and combining the artistic traditions of several Eastern countries into a whole. I follow the tradition of meditating before picking up the brush, and the whole process of painting is meditation. I hope that the works also convey peace and harmony.
