More about this artwork

The painting features a stylized portrait of a human face, rendered in a minimalist and abstract style. The facial features are composed of geometric shapes and lines in muted colors like green, blue, and subtle hues of orange and yellow. The subject’s eyes, meticulously detailed, convey a contemplative expression. The figure seems to emerge from or perhaps recede into the dark, featureless background, emphasizing the facial contours and the thoughtful expression. The overall mood appears serene and introspective, with the use of dark space and sparse color enhancing the sense of introspection and solitude.

In 2011 I completed my bachelor's studies (painting) at the Kaunas Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, in 2013 - I received a master's degree from Kaunas Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts.

I have been drawing for a long time. Even before I started studying, I discovered an authentic, graphic style and started creating. The empty space of a sheet of paper and black ink made it possible to fulfill all fantasies.

Since I was studying painting, naturally colours appeared in my drawings, I started breaking the rules of academic drawing.

Every drawing is an experience of freedom for me. Freedom to be and create.
