Raimundas Dzimidavičius (1960) is a painter who constantly balances between abstraction and drawing. The spectrum of themes of the prolific author is quite wide, but the most prominent line is the line of searching for the human soul. The artist is interested in the coming and going of man from this world, his transience, the question of the meaning of life. Often, angels, beings from beyond, appear in his works; this world and the beyond are merged into one. The author emphasises man's striving to seek something beyond the everyday and to spread goodness.
R. Dzimidavičius has been studying at the Martinaitis Art School since 1974.
From 1981-1984 he studied applied decorative arts at ZNUI in Moscow.
For 15 years he worked as a painter and sculptor in the art workshop of the Anapa branch of the Russian Art Foundation.
Since 2000 he has been living in Lithuania as a free artist.
