Artist and art theorist Odeta Putkyte (b. 1993) in Lithuania recieved a bachelor's degree at Minerva academy and a master's degree at Utrecht University, studies at this moment at the university of Edinburgh a PhD of Arts.
Odeta says that these paintings are nowhere to be seen so that the outbursts of creative energy expressed through a unique brushwork, questions not the logics of a story through painting but the absolute nonsense and how much that truth is acceptable if exposed in a light bright atmosphere. The goal of this absurdity is not to show a story, but a moment, an event, not so much the facts, but perspective.
In her own words: "Through this oeuvre I aim at, if not hyperrealistically, but as much as possible a policy of to not to lie - it saves time. This creative practice also questions our identity, who we really are, without lying and sincerely, which is one of the most difficult questions to answer despite the difficulties of life."
