Artist Aurelija Filipauskytė started her creative path 25 years ago with her first solo exhibition.
Since then, the author has presented 31 personal exhibitions of paintings, participated in more than 30 joint exhibitions in various Lithuanian cities.
Starting out as a representative of the portrait genre, the artist gradually turned to illustration. Soon the lives of postcards and literary characters for children moved into a big format and entered the wide world. New works quickly became regular participants in art gallery exhibitions, decorating private galleries and public spaces in Lithuanian cities. The author has managed to maintain her identity, not to interrupt the dialogue with her viewers and to remain faithful to her main topic. Silent observation of the environment, analysis of circumstances and characters remains the impetus for her work.
The paintings of the last few years invite viewers on an extraordinary journey through the surreal world of fantasy. The tale of the common existence of flora, fauna and man quietly spreads its spells. We invite gallery visitors to watch this extraordinary creative adventure together.
