More about this artwork

The painting depicts a striking and somewhat desolate scene, characterized by earthy tones of brown and rust, contrasted sharply against a soft, vibrant blue backdrop. A central structure, resembling a dilapidated building or monument, looms under a towering spire-like form. This central figure is flanked by jagged, vertical elements that might be interpreted as barren trees or architectural remnants, enhancing the overall feeling of decay and abandonment. The use of thick, expressive brushstrokes adds a tactile depth to the composition, infusing the scene with a dynamic, almost moving quality, as if the elements are caught in a moment of transformation. Toward the bottom, the artwork extends into a darker area that provides a stark base to the composition, suggesting a shadowed ground or deep water, anchoring the ethereal structures in something more tangible. The interplay of color and form masterfully conveys a sense of isolation and the relentless passage of time.

Artist

I was born in Panevėžys district, in the village of Stultiškės.  Since 1974 I have been actively participating in group exhibitions and organizing personal exhibitions. Since my early work, I have been interested in extraterrestrial worlds and visions. The aim of my work is to free the viewer's imagination and immerse him/her in unseen spaces, to involve the viewer in the world of my imaginary vision.

My work is inspired by self-analysis, by the human relationship to the world and to oneself. I rely solely on my own imagination, experiences and personal philosophy of life. My paintings are visual narratives, interwoven with mysterious stories, fairy tales, myths.  The canvases are dominated by a palette of warm colours, peace and harmony.

In 2005 she was awarded the status of Artist.
