About the author
Perhaps sculpture is something in between art and entertainment? Maybe it is not even supposed to address social or political issues, but simply to give people comfort, to comfort them, to reassure them.
Marius Zavadskis (1979) focuses on myths, which have always been a part of human existence, reflecting fundamental values. The author has been close to biblical themes since his student days, and through familiar images he speaks about things that remain relevant to this day - the origin of man, his place in the world, the journey and purpose of life.
In 2003, he graduated in sculpture from the Vilnius Academy of Arts. He works in the fields of sculpture and illustration. For his chamber sculptures, the artist usually chooses classical materials and subjects.
