About the author
"I am Regina, a watercolor painter.
While I was mastering this whimsical technique, I had to learn a lot, experiment and explore colors. Then I accepted my artistic destiny with open arms and have been devoting most of my time to watercolor for almost a decade.
I like soft strokes, transparent blends, but most of the time I surrender to the unpredictability of watercolor. I follow where the synergy of color and paper will lead to leave my brush mark.
I mostly paint in pure watercolor, layer upon layer, but I do not avoid experimenting and changing. In search of my own style, I have tried many watercolor techniques. Wet on wet, dry brush, free pouring. I like pouring natural motifs, landscapes, flowers and architectural objects.
Although a more expressive and spontaneous way of depicting is very close to me, and the nature of watercolor allows you to create soft and blurred contours, I admire the synergy of these two properties of watercolor the most.
I am a member of the Lithuanian Folk Artists Union.
My fifth personal exhibition was recently held.
I participate in plein-airs and international creative workshops.
I live in Vilnius. My tiny studio is constantly in artistic disarray. If you see my beautiful photos of the studio, just know that there may be tubes of paint, brushes and sheets of watercolor paper lying around waiting for their turn on the easel. There is always quiet music playing here and you can hear the bell of the Franciscan church ringing very well, from time to time.
So now that I have told you about myself, I want to invite you to explore my profile at paintings.lt. Maybe you'll find a watercolor painting in it that will inspire peace in your home spaces."
