More about this artwork

The painting portrays a cluster of tulips and hyacinths, rendered in a watercolor style that emphasizes softness and fluidity. The tulips, depicted in shades of deep purple with hints of darker and lighter tones, appear almost velvety, their petals slightly open as if basking in gentle sunlight. Interspersed among the tulips are spikes of hyacinths, their small, star-shaped flowers blooming in beautiful gradients of blue and lavender. The background and the spaces between the flowers are washed in a light yellows and greens, suggesting the freshness of spring. The overall effect is one of a delicate, dreamy garden scene, where colors blend effortlessly and each brushstroke contributes to a sense of tranquility and natural beauty.

The story of my watercolour and mine has a romantic beginning of love at first sight. It was one-sided for a while, but the capricious watercolour eventually appreciated my efforts and reciprocated. Closing the door on the business world from which I had come, I pledged my loyalty to her until "death do us part" or my fingers could no longer control the brush and my eyes were dark.

This new relationship has transformed my daily life and enriched not only my life but also my spiritual world. I found a new form of self-expression, I learned, I explored and it gave me great joy. I am a believer, so I see water and light as God's primordial substance from which everything was created at the beginning of time. These two substances are the main elements of watercolour. Light creates the colours and water controls them. It is up to me to 'feel' the complex divine 'kind' and try to get my eyes on the essence. So when I run out of inspiration, I know where to look for its inexhaustible source.
