"My creative path began at the Panevėžys School of Art, where, catching the momentum, I continued my studies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in interior design, I returned to my hometown, where I express my creative ideas on canvas and in ceramics.
My paintings combine several passions in my life: architecture, travel and nature. As I never stop looking for new passions and expressions, my work becomes dynamic, contrasting and sometimes surreal. I compare these nuances to commercial advertising in the old town, where some see visual rubbish and others see a kind of spice.
The painting technique is based on emotion, freedom, spontaneity, improvisation. For me, painting is an intrigue, because you can never predict the final result," is how the young generation of artists describes their work.
Kornelia's paintings are a refreshing take on familiar objects. When painting the old towns of the cities, she does not go into the details, but maintains a spontaneous, free stroke. The colour palette is limited, but strongly conveys the mood. If the image becomes too realistic, the artist spices it up with her own spices of a more contemporary expression.
