I am Orinta Klimaitė, a resident in dermatovenerology, a prosector at the Institute of Anatomy, LSMU, and therefore my work is close to anatomy and the human body.
During these years of study, I can't stop wondering how in such a structurally orderly, harmoniously working organism, where every organ has its own function, where every change is compensated for and homeostasis is maintained, such an unpredictable, intangible, formless, unnameable human soul can hide.
In my work I try to show how much struggle, contrast and uncertainty can be contained in a single body that is trying to find its true self, in order to resist the prevailing ideologies and standards created by society. To remain myself, without abandoning my nature, without being afraid to feel, is my goal.
