My name is Ruta Sabalaite Jyde, I became intrested in arts and have been painted from the early childhood and graduated from secondary school with specialization in arts. Although I continued to pursue a career in medicine, art and painting remained my main hobbies and importand part of my life. Living abroad for long periods I got more time to continue and develop my skills and try new painting techniques. I like to paint portraits ( both people or animals), simple moments of life, abstracts. The paintings are usually very colourful, expressive and optimistic and often with a humorous twist. Most works are made by pallete knife on canvas with oil or acrylic. Paintings were shown in several exibitionsin Sweden, Russia (Moscow), Ukraine and several of them are part of the private collections all over the world.
