More about this artwork

The painting depicts a still life arrangement featuring a variety of objects on a flat surface. In the composition, there is a tall, slender bottle with a cork stopper, its body mainly rendered in whites and grays with touches of blue near the top. Adjacent to the bottle, shadows and light play across the surface, giving a soft yet textured background in hues of brown and black. To the right, an intricate black and white floral pattern, possibly a plant or a printed fabric, adds depth and contrast. In front of these, two round, white containers with blue rims hold what appear to be fruits—perhaps tangerines, suggested by their warm, yellow-orange tones. These fruits, along with others that are uncontained, sit directly on the tabletop. The entire scene is depicted with broad, expressive brushstrokes and a somewhat muted palette, evoking a sense of serene quietness. The handling of light and shadow creates an atmospheric effect, making the objects appear both distinct and integrated into their surroundings.

Living with watercolour, in watercolour - that's how I could describe myself. I admire its lightness, its unpredictability, its unique relationship with water. I find inspiration in nature, so perfectly created by God. I am also fascinated by the hustle and bustle of the city, its liveliness, its sounds, the theatre of shadows on the walls of the houses when the sun is shining, or the reflections in the city streets when it is raining. Colours are particularly important - it is the choice of colours that determines the development of the work, its content and mood. With my work I invite you to dream, to drift away to a place where it is good and peaceful... Somewhat mysterious, but safe... Have a good journey!

I have had solo exhibitions in Kėdainiai and Šiauliai. I have participated in international watercolour biennales, and my work has been exhibited in Slovenia and Albania during the International Art Festival.
