More about this artwork

In "Iceberg," a dynamic and moody townscape unfolds beneath a brooding sky. Dominated by various shades of reds, blues, and grays, the watercolor painting presents a series of clustered buildings with distinct, rough textures that suggest aged facades and worn surfaces. The roofs, seemingly made of tiles, reflect subtle hints of red and orange, contrasting with the softer, more muted walls of the structures. Delicate blue accents appear on the buildings, possibly representing windows or decorative elements, adding brief moments of vibrant color amidst the overall earthy palette. Above, the sky looms heavily in gradations of dark blue and gray, enhancing the sense of an impending, weighty atmosphere, possibly foreshadowing a storm or the waning light of dusk. The reflection of the buildings in the water suggests the scene may be set beside a lake or river, contributing to the painting’s serene yet somber tone.

Living with watercolour, in watercolour - that's how I could describe myself. I admire its lightness, its unpredictability, its unique relationship with water. I find inspiration in nature, so perfectly created by God. I am also fascinated by the hustle and bustle of the city, its liveliness, its sounds, the theatre of shadows on the walls of the houses when the sun is shining, or the reflections in the city streets when it is raining. Colours are particularly important - it is the choice of colours that determines the development of the work, its content and mood. With my work I invite you to dream, to drift away to a place where it is good and peaceful... Somewhat mysterious, but safe... Have a good journey!

I have had solo exhibitions in Kėdainiai and Šiauliai. I have participated in international watercolour biennales, and my work has been exhibited in Slovenia and Albania during the International Art Festival.
