More about this artwork

In the painting, a variety of fruits assembled atop each other are depicted. The fruits are encased in a clear plastic container, suggesting they might be leftovers or perhaps prepared for storage. There are plump grapes, both red and a darker, almost black variety, intertwined with veins of their branches. A cluster of green pears, which are slightly overlapped by the grapes, adds a vivid contrast to the darker berries. Additionally, there are scattered, undefined fruits with an array of colors including deep blues and muted reds which might be other types of berries. In the forefront on the left side, a partially visible plate holds what appears to be a crumbled pastry or a pie. Elements such as a slice of citrus fruit, visible in the top left corner, contribute to an overall sense of abundance and color richness in the composition. The textures are palpably depicted with heavy brushstrokes, providing an almost tactile sensation to the viewer. The use of light and shadow gives the painting depth, accentuating the freshness and succulence of the fruits.

Artist
I believe that every person has their own dot on the map of the universe, their own place, and if you find it, you will live a happy and meaningful life. I feel that my place is in creativity, I feel an endless passion and pleasure in creating and talking to the world with colours.
My work explores the meaning of life, continuity and the ideas of longevity and identity. I draw inspiration from my parents' home environment, where I grew up, where everything seems special and so important that I want it to be transferred to the canvas and to last for many centuries to come.
As an artist, I want to stir questions in people's minds: who am I? Where did I come from? Who are my ancestors? Because when you don't know where you came from, you don't know exactly where you want to go.
