More about this artwork

The painting presents a vibrant and textured landscape, filled with abstract and fragmented elements that combine both organic and surreal forms. Dominating the scene is a large, luminous yellow circle, which could be interpreted as a sun or moon, exuding a sense of energy and warmth. Connected to this circle is a gold thread that weaves through various elements of the composition, creating a visual and thematic linkage among the disparate objects. The background is a dynamic clash of blues and greens, resembling turbulent waters or a swirling sky, which gives the painting a sense of movement and depth. This tempestuous backdrop is dotted with dark, flower-like shapes that float amidst the chaos, anchoring the scene with their darker tones. In the foreground, a chaotic assembly of items includes what appears to be a partial face or bust, rendered with a minimalistic touch yet conveying a sense of contemplation or tranquility. Nearby, an array of abstract shapes and forms, possibly metaphorical or symbolic, play across the canvas—hints of vegetation, geometric patterns, and undefined objects—all interconnected by the golden thread. The use of vivid colors and heavy, impasto techniques enhances the texture and multidimensional feel of the work, inviting the viewer to ponder the connections between the elements and the overarching theme suggested by the title, "Gold Thread." The artwork is both a visual feast and a conceptual puzzle, rich with symbolism and open to multiple interpretations.

Artist
I believe that every person has their own dot on the map of the universe, their own place, and if you find it, you will live a happy and meaningful life. I feel that my place is in creativity, I feel an endless passion and pleasure in creating and talking to the world with colours.
My work explores the meaning of life, continuity and the ideas of longevity and identity. I draw inspiration from my parents' home environment, where I grew up, where everything seems special and so important that I want it to be transferred to the canvas and to last for many centuries to come.
As an artist, I want to stir questions in people's minds: who am I? Where did I come from? Who are my ancestors? Because when you don't know where you came from, you don't know exactly where you want to go.
