More about this artwork

The painting depicts an ethereal and vibrant landscape, dominated by a luminous central light that casts a warm glow over the scene. This light seems to emanate from a crack in a textured sky, spreading downwards and infusing the colors below with a spectrum ranging from deep yellows to soft greens. The landscape itself is abstract, featuring bursts of bold, impasto strokes that suggest blooming flora and organic growth. The overall impression is one of a dreamlike spring morning where nature is waking up in a riot of color and light. The fluidity of the colors and the dynamic textures contribute to a sense of movement and life, as if the scene is constantly evolving right before the eyes.

In Lina Beržanskytė-Trembo's work, as the artist herself says, nothing is invented, everything is felt. It is a world of feelings and inner experiences that has taken shape on canvas.

Lina's artistic expression balances between abstraction and recognisable silhouettes of women and landscapes. It is important for the artist to work impromptu, to let the hand move, to guide herself, to make the work as organic as possible, to reflect as accurately as possible what is going on inside. Although the artist is also familiar with natural motifs and depictions of natural transformations, her works are mostly devoted to the themes of the inner world of man: loneliness, peace of mind, prophetic visions, prayer, touching eternity, love. Even through the motifs of nature, the author tries to convey the cycles that occur in human beings - desolation, stagnation, resurrection, blossoming, abundance.

"It seems that through the elasticity and vitality of the line, the frenzy of colours, I manage to capture the connection between the moment and the Eternal Mystery, and that this is best revealed through the uncharted vision and the charm of unexplored desires," says the artist.

The author was born in 1970 in Vilnius, into a family of physicians. In 1989, she graduated from the M. K. Čiurlionis Art School (diploma in painting, lecturers M. Skudutis, V. Jusionis). In the same year, she entered the Vilnius Academy of Arts, specialising in fresco-mosaic. In 1995, after graduation, she went to Stuttgart, Germany, where she held her personal exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions. In 2000 she returned to Vilnius, where she lives and organises exhibitions. Since 2007 she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union (in 2007 she was granted the status of creator). She has held over 50 solo exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad, and actively participates in group exhibitions (over 40 group exhibitions).
