More about this artwork

The painting depicts a serene mountain landscape, bathed in the soft, diffused light of what could be early morning or late afternoon. In the background, majestic mountains rise steeply, their peaks shrouded in mist, hinting at a cool, damp climate. The mountains are rendered in hues of blue and purple, suggesting their vast distance from the viewer. In the foreground, a dirt pathway curves through a lush forest, densely packed with tall, slender pine trees standing sentinel over the scene. Dappled sunlight filters through the trees, casting patches of light and shadow on the ground. Along the path, a group of three people are walking, engaged in casual conversation, enjoying the natural beauty around them. One of them, wearing a bright orange jacket, stands out against the more muted colors of the forest and the companions’ attire.Beside the pathway, the earth is strewn with large, rough stones, reinforcing the rugged terrain of the mountainous area. The overall atmosphere is one of peaceful coexistence with nature, inviting the viewer to step into the scene and join the leisurely walk in the crisp mountain air.

Artist

Lina Audronytė's paintings search for the unnoticed everyday, for what slips through the eyes in routine. The artist tries to look at the everyday environment from a different angle, to take ordinary objects out of their usual context. In this way, the courtyards of old apartment blocks turn into stills from a science fiction film, tomatoes in a greenhouse into strange, extraterrestrial plants, and a simple bouquet into a reflection of transcendence. The artist's aim is to pinch the viewer and wake him up from his routine slumber.

From 2005 to 2011  studied painting at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. In 2006 participated in ANTIPOPS festival in Kaunas. In 2012 was a resident at Fluxus Ministry. In 2019 started to create more actively. Since July 2020  is a participant of the online gallery "Art without a Roof", and also part of the international project "COCA ART". In September 2020 organised the exhibition "Night Activities" in Vilnius, Ramintojos Church. This exhibition was her first in Vilnius, and most of the works were specially created for the Culture Night 2020 project.
