Still life with a yellow teapot
More about this artwork
The painting features a vibrant still life arrangement set against a backdrop of bold, irregular blocks of color reminiscent of patchwork. Dominating the scene are a large yellow teapot and a mug, both on a table covered with a purple cloth showcasing a wavy, dynamic pattern. Beside the teapot, a small white and yellow object, possibly a book or a box, adds to the composition. In the foreground, a potted plant with large, waxy green leaves and yellow patches draws the eye, while the entire scene vibrates with thick, expressive brushstrokes defining shapes and adding texture.
