Viltė Gridasova, the founder of KalbaSpalva.lt (Language and Colour), an English language teacher, painter, translator, writer; simply saying, a woman with a limitless positive energy. It was her Grandmother named Aza from whom Viltė inherited this positive outlook. Granny Aza, an English language teacher by profession, too, taught the little girl the sounds of the English language, the names of the plants in her sunny garden. Aza taught to appreciate the beauty of the nature, art and classical music. Thanks to her Grandmother, language and colour have become inseparable, an integral part of Viltė's life, even more - her true passion.
Viltė says, "As a painter, I'm still searching for my favourite medium. It used to be oil and pastels, but quite recently I've fallen in love with the richness, unpredictability and transparency of watercolour. Painting may be a gift or a suffering, if you cannot express what you'd like to express; but whatever the result, it has to evoke positive feelings. It doesn't mean images have to be bright; they can bring about sadness or melancholic memories, but eventually, art has to give hope and inspiration to the viewers."
