Jonas Kozulas (1949 - 2017) is a landscape painter who continues the tradition of the rare Marinist genre in Lithuania. Having perfected his own painting technique and style, the artist captures the majestic element of the sea in his works, as well as local landscapes with Lithuanian nature motifs. The artist creates works imbued with realism, drawing inspiration from nature and using his compositional skills developed as a portrait photographer, and therefore he paints not only from life, but also through the prism of his own feelings and imagination, bringing a magical palette of colours, giving warmth and cosiness to landscapes.
Since 1976, the artist has actively participated in exhibitions and has held several solo exhibitions. The artist's works have been spread all over the world.
