Valerija Vija Tarabildienė lives and works in Vilnius.
Her artworks has been acquired by museums in Lithuania and abroad /the Lithuanian Art Museum, Samogitian Art Museum, Museum of Vilnius Academy of Arts, the Library of Paris-Sorbonne University/ and private collectors from the USA, Poland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, the SAR, Canada and Sweden.

1967 graduated from the State Institute of Art in Vilnius /now Vilnius Academy of Arts/, majoring in fresco and mosaic. Since then her oil and watercolour paintings, book-plates and graphic works have been showcased in over 150 exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad /the USA, Poland, Denmark, Latvia, Belarus, France, Italie/. She has created over 20 murals in different interiors. 1980 joined the Lithuanian Artist,s Association. 1998 started teaching watercolour painting at the Design Education Centre in Vilnius. 2007 joined the Art Creators Association. She has 36 solo exhibition.

1997 - prize from the exhibition Landscape of Lithuania.
1998 - diploma from the exhibition Eighty Years of Independent Lithuania, Kaunas Art Gallery.
2001 - diploma and prize awarded at the International Triennial Baltic Watercolour, Riga/Latvia/.
2005 - prize from from the competition/exhibition The Path of Lithuania, by the Lithuanian Art Museum and the Čiurlionis Art Gallery-Museum/Chicago/.
2016 - Silver Sign of Honour at the 7-th exhibition of the World Samogitian.
