More about this artwork

In the painting, two sheep appear as if they are seated at a table, engaged in a significant discussion or negotiation. Each sheep's head is encased within a circular, gold-framed portrait, suggesting a human-like setup typically reserved for dignified or formal settings. One sheep faces directly forward while the other is slightly turned, as if in mid-conversation. Both are cloaked in human-style garments—checkered for one and zigzag patterned for the other—blending humanoid characteristics with animal features. A human's hands are visible, one resting on the table next to a white sheet of paper and a small coffee cup, while the other lightly touches the chin of the sheep that appears to be speaking, adding a layer of surreal interaction. The background and overall tone suggest a muted, somber atmosphere, emphasizing the solemnity and surrealism of this curious assembly.
