More about this artwork

The painting depicts a woman with fiery red, voluminous curls cascading around her face and shoulders, giving her an almost ethereal aura. She appears contemplative or introspective, resting her cheek against her hand, her gaze slightly averted from the viewer, creating a feeling of introspection or melancholy. Her delicate features are accentuated with subtle shading and soft hues, highlighting her pensive eyes and the gentle arch of her brows. A unique mark, possibly a small tattoo, adorns her forehead, adding to her mysterious and enchanting appearance. The overall tone of the painting is soft yet vivid, emphasizing the flow of her hair and the thoughtful expression of her face with a masterful use of watercolors.

I am Kamilė Stanevičiūtė - glass artist, jeweller and watercolourist, who presents her works under the pseudonym "Mili.sekundės". I am a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union and an author with the status of an artist approved by the Ministry of Culture.

Currently my main body of work has been inspired by the moon and its movement, and the constellations visible in the skies. The series "Moon Women" are personified astrological portraits, the unique features of each constellation under the influence of the moon. The moon itself symbolises the desire to delve into the subconscious, to look back into the past and surrender to deep feelings, to irrational human nature.
