More about this artwork

This painting showcases a fish constructed entirely from mechanical and metallurgical components, embodying a steampunk aesthetic. It features a variety of gears, cogs, and metal plates meticulously assembled to mimic the streamlined form of a fish. The body is formed from a large, curved piece of metal, which serves as the main structure, with smaller detailed elements such as screws, bolts, and washers contributing to the intricate texture of the creature. The tail is segmented and fin-like, possibly made from cut-out sheets of metal, enhancing the mechanical illusion. The fish's eye seems to be a camera lens or similar optic component, giving it an observant, lifelike appearance. Overall, the artwork cleverly utilizes discarded or repurposed materials to create an organic form, blending industrial with natural in a surreal, innovative depiction.
