More about this artwork

The painting captures a lush bundle of phlox flowers, their petals a vibrant shade of pink with dashes of red, assembled densely together to form a large, rounded cluster. These blossoms are perched atop a healthy array of green leaves and stems, showing a full, lively display. The entire arrangement spills graciously out of an ornately textured, white vase that sits prominently in the foreground. The vase exhibits a detailed, woven pattern, reminiscent of a carefully crafted basket. Subtle shadows and a soft, diffused background of muted greens and yellows gently frame the vivid floral subject, enhancing its colors and creating a sense of freshness and tranquility. Small clusters of flowers that have fallen from the bouquet are scattered around the base of the vase, resting softly on the surface below, adding a natural, slightly whimsical touch to the composition. The artist's signature is visible near the bottom right corner of the artwork.
