More about this artwork

The painting depicts a still life arrangement on a wooden table, featuring a range of objects that suggest a contemplative or solitary setting. On the left side of the table, there is a clear glass containing a golden liquid, presumably whiskey, next to a bottle labeled "Jim Beam Bourbon." Beside the whiskey is a plate holding sliced lemons, a knife, and a whole, peeled shallot. Behind these items stands a dark bottle with dried plants protruding from its neck, adding a touch of rustic decay to the scene.Dominating the right side of the composition is a classical stone bust of a figure adorned with a vibrant crown made of green leaves and red berries, perhaps suggesting a Bacchic or Dionysian theme, linking to the themes of revelry and melancholy. The background is softly painted, featuring a neutral wall and a hint of a draped, blue fabric, providing a contrast that accentuates the deep colors of the foreground. The overall mood of the painting is introspective and slightly somber, highlighted by the presence of alcohol and the somber expression of the bust. The setting implies a moment of solitude, accompanied by elements that suggest a reflection or escape into sensory experiences. The contrasts between the lively natural elements of the crown and the inanimate, brooding presence of the stone bust create a poignant tableau that invites viewers to contemplate themes of loneliness and temporary reprieve.

Creativity is an integral part of my life, my greatest hobby, my greatest passion. I graduated from Panevezys Art School and also worked as a florist, maybe therefore I can't imagine my life without the beauty of flowers and nature all around. So the motif of flowers in my works stops the moment and their beauty and becomes eternal.

I am a child of nature, so my greatest desire is to convey the charm of its moments, to tame it and stop the time. I want people to find peace, pleasure and feel good emotions in my work.

A flower as a person: sprouts, blossoms, develops and dies. Life cycle movement allows you to look at the environment more closely, and that's what I am trying to move to. The beauty of life is my greatest inspiration.

I am a fan of realistic impressionism becoming an oil painter. I regularly organize exhibitions all over Lithuania. From 2020 I am a member of the Folk Artists' Union.
