More about this artwork

The painting depicts a serene morning on the beach at Palanga. The scene captures the beach in a tranquil state with gentle waves lapping against the shore. In the foreground, sandy dunes sparsely covered with grass lead up to the beach. A few wooden windbreaks, sometimes resembling small huts, are scattered along the sand, possibly for beachgoers to find shelter from the wind. One individual, perhaps a morning walker, is visible near the water's edge, contributing to a sense of peaceful solitude. The sky is streaked with clouds, suggesting the early hours of the day, as the colors shift from cool blues and grays to warm hues that hint at the rising sun. A wooden pier or structure juts out into the sea on the right, partially in disrepair, adding a touch of rustic charm to the landscape. The overall atmosphere created by the artist is one of calm and quiet reflection, typical of a morning when nature slowly awakens.

Artist

Eugis Eidukaitis was born in Russia, Sibir on November, 1965 in a family of Lithuanian
exile. He grew up and spent big part of his life in Moldova, Chisinau. First touch to art started
there in Chisinau art school. Artist ended University and got medicine diplome, but art and
paintings were always a hobby and sometimes source of livelihood.
In 2000 he came back to Lithuania and started to draw and paint even more. Art became
constat thing in life.

His favourite genre is the urban or natural landscape, but he is not tempted to romanticise or embellish them. Nevertheless, one can sense that his view of reality is forgiving and gentle. He looks for a distinctive beauty in each motif, which is revealed through the contrast of light and shadow, the vivid, soft colours.

Paintings and watercolor adorn dozens of private collections.
