More about this artwork

In the painting "FLAVOR OF SUMMER", an abstract tapestry of textures and colors unfolds across the canvas, evoking a strong sensory immersion into a summer's palette. The upper portion features a mélange of muted greens, browns, and hints of gold, perhaps suggesting the dappling of sunlight through leaves or the variegated surfaces of a landscape. These natural tones intermittently give way to areas of bright white and deep charcoal, adding a dynamic contrast. As the eye travels downward, streaks and patches of pink, ranging from tender blushes to deeper hues, dominate the central expanse. This swath of pink might evoke the fragrance or the delicate blush of summer blooms. Overlaying these are impressions of white and gray that resemble the textures of bark or stone, bringing an earthy roughness that juxtaposes the softness of the colors. The bottom section of the painting introduces a striking, almost purely abstract element with vigorous white and gray brushstrokes sweeping across a lighter pink background. These strokes may remind one of flowing water, wind-ruffled surfaces, or grassy fields swept by summer breezes.Throughout the composition, the interaction of texture and color seems carefully balanced to suggest the fleeting, ephemeral qualities of summer—its light, its scents, and the feeling of movement within heat and breeze. The use of abstract forms allows for a personal interpretation, inviting viewers to recall their own summer experiences through the sensory journey laid out by the artist.

Creativity and inspiration runs through my veins. I can't imagine my life without a pleasure which is given by colours, smears, textures and opportunity to experiment with different painting techniques. I strongly believe that art can turn life into more colourful, positive and give sense to life overall.

After my studies at VDA I worked as a graphic designer for a long time but my heart always missed the possibility to freely create art. At 2017 I successfully opened an art studio for adults and from then I work there as a founder and teacher.

To me the process of painting is similar to traveling without the map. There is only me, white canvas and spontaneous trust in my intuition. During these moments I have this inner knowing that I will travel where the harmony and silent inner satisfaction reigns. Compositions, textures, halftones, rhythm, contrast also participate in all of this process and are the great companions and helpers.

For me abstraction is like dancing in between knowing and not knowing. It’s the search of a balance between tension and complete satisfaction. In the silence and inner concentration this mesmerising process can continue for many hours. Listening of deep thoughts and feeling of every emotion is the part of both creators and observers experience with an abstraction. It’s an opportunity to heal for both of them because all the colours and forms can wake you up from a stagnation and let you change.
