About the author
Creativity and inspiration are flowing through my veins. I can’t imagine life without the pleasure of making brush strokes, mixing colors, making textures, experimenting and combining different techniques, medias, and tools. I deeply believe that art can make life more colorful, brighter, more positive and meaningful.
After I graduated Vilnius Academy of Arts, I worked as graphic designer for many years, but my heart always belonged to absolute freedom of artistic expression. From 2017 I work as a painting teacher in my own adult painting studio. This successful dream job gives me a lot of fun moments, also encourages me to go deeper and improve artistic skills. I am happy to help others awaken their creative fire, transcend negative beliefs and fears of expressing themselves on canvas.
I am an intuitive creator. When I‘m starting to paint, I don’t know what the final result will be. For me, it’s a time of deep inner listening. Like dancing with the subconscious, an attempt to convey the phenomenon of a dynamic, paradoxical, transcendent life without words. For me abstract painting is like creating an impressive performance with scenography: with zones of tension and serenity, spotlights and shadows, one or more main characters, and a consistent story. Colors and shapes – the participants in this abstract performance – can create relationships or stay lonely and lost. They can shout or speak very sensitively and quietly. Colors can dance and sing, or be a neutral basis for forms ...
I like to combine abstract spontaneous strokes with realistic and ornamental painting and even graphic elements. After I express myself expressively, sometimes comes time for slow painting. It happens not often, so I especially appreciate and love these artworks. In these paintings I‘m trying to express the uncertain, paradoxal, constant changing life through slightly different, mystical world of symbolic metaphors.
