"My paintings are born from a flash of colours inside me, a flash of mood. Painting for me is about emotions, which are put on the canvas in colours, textures, patterns, which are drawn by the imagination. A sense of aesthetics is important to me everywhere - in the depths of myself, in the environment, in the virtual space where I work every day, and painting is a counterbalance to all things material. Each work embodies the moment when it was created and warms the home it goes to with its own energy," the artist says about her work.
In Evelina's paintings, line is as important as colour. The colour planes are combined with drawing and ornaments. However, despite their decorative elements, the works retain their abstract nature. Only occasionally can plant motifs be discerned in them. As the titles suggest, most of the works are born out of a meditative or uplifting mood, with lines and colours coming together in a playful rhythm, a true celebration of life.
