More about this artwork

The painting presents a vibrant composition dominated by richly textured layers and intense colors. It features an assortment of geometric blocks and stripes, vividly rendered in hues of red, blue, yellow, and orange. Each segment pulses with a different pattern and intensity, creating a dynamic patchwork that suggests depth and complexity. The brightest colors - particularly the bold, saturated blue and piercing orange - draw the eye, contrasting sharply with the cooler tones and more muted areas in the artwork. The canvas is alive with textural variation, displaying techniques from thick impasto to smoother, flatter regions. Some portions are embellished with contrasting flecks of paint, suggesting a diverse material application that adds to the tactile quality of the work.Overall, the structured arrangement of shapes juxtaposed with the wild abandon of color and texture may evoke a sense of controlled chaos, possibly representing the theme of "obsession" mentioned in the title. The meticulous order of geometries fights against the untamed expression of the application, leading to a visually striking and emotionally resonant piece.
