Salvija Vaičikonytė (1995) is an active artist and illustrator of the younger generation, who graduated from Vilnius College of Technology and Design in 2015 with a degree in Graphic Design. She has held several solo exhibitions, participated in various creative projects and group exhibitions in Lithuania, Belgium and the Czech Republic. The author is interested in the themes of man and nature, loneliness, longing for closeness. Her work is characterised by a minimal amount of elements and colours, rather the author searches for a gradation of colour tones. Salvia's line is graphic, her shapes are stylised, creating an illustrative, almost poster-like image.

There is a complete calmness and concentration in Salvia's works, the surface of the water is not swept by the waves, no clouds roll across the sky, no wind bends the trees, and the protagonists are focused on the action or on their own inner thoughts, enveloped in a gentle melancholy.
